Sometimes yes, sometimes no... This door cannot, because it is "Flush Glazed" meaning, the door was assembled with the glass inside it.
If the frame is perfectly good we can match the door and paint and get you back to normal ASAP.

Rot Repairs
Typically this is a good time to start over. No superficial repair is going to last once a joint is created between new and old, it will easily crack and allow water right back in, solving nothing.
Furthermore, if this is what you see on the surface, wait till we open it up. Sometimes the rot can spread into the structual framing creating massive problems and require removal of the door to access the damage for repair. These require a seasoned door specialist to provide a detailed estimate.

These are tricky and take tons of time and patience to properly prepare the wood for recoating. Every nook and crany needs to be sanded and cleaned to receive the new stain and clear coat.
We do it, but the results will never be 100% unless the door is properly maintained every 1-5 years with a light sanding, cleaning and clear coat.

We handle adjustments for doors that scrape, don’t latch, or need better sealing. We also replace basic weatherstripping like sweeps and compression strips.

Some issues require full replacement instead of repair. This includes rotted frames or trim, major alignment problems, severe cracking, or doors that won’t close properly even after adjustment.
Do you have same-day services or appointments?
Typically, no – but ask! If we happen to have an opening in our schedule, we may be able to help. In those cases, we would provide the standard inspection and services with our $400 minimum service call.
What is the project minimum?
Repair visits start at $400, which includes a trip from our Carpenter with a stocked van and up to three hours of labor. Additional time is billed at $100/hour plus materials.

Pricing and Scheduling
- Service Minimum: All repair appointments have a $400 minimum, which covers a visit from our in-house Carpenter with a fully stocked work van and up to 3 hours of labor.
- Additional Time: If the repair takes longer than 3 hours, time is billed at $100/hour, plus the cost of any materials (including trips to the hardware store if needed).
- Deposit & Scheduling: A $200 deposit is required at the time of scheduling. This deposit is non-refundable and goes toward your service. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, the deposit is forfeited.
- If Repair Isn’t Feasible: Sometimes a repair isn’t possible, or it wouldn’t be a long-term solution. In that case, the $200 deposit still applies, but our Lead Carpenter will either provide you with an estimate for a proper replacement or arrange for one of our Door Specialists to come out and reassess the project. Depending on the size of the replacement project, the deposit may or may not be credited toward the new work.
